General Manager Mike Eames has announced two new hires to the Rocky Mountain Raceways’ team.
Patrick Bauman will serve in a corporate sales capacity, and Mikey Powell will work as Motocross Manager.
“We take a lot of pride in the people we hire to be a part of our team,” Eames said. “Mikey Powell and Patrick Bauman certainly fit the mold of ‘great hires.’”
Powell, who began racing on RMR’s motocross track as a youngster, succeeds longtime track manager Curt Stewart, who will begin working in a new capacity.
Powell hails from Lehi.
“Mikey has extensive MX experience in both race operations and track building. His demeanor and dedication to the sport will be clearly visible to our participants,” Eames said. “Curt Stewart leaves some huge shoes over there, but I think Mikey is up to the task.”
RMR racing fans are likely to know Bauman’s name. The Magna native was hired as RMR’s oval track announcer prior to the 2016 season.
“For the last two seasons, Patrick Bauman has been an outstanding announcer for us over on the oval side and is a huge fan of everything we do,” Eames said. “It makes total sense to add him to our sales team. His infectious energy and love of this facility shine through in all he does. We welcome them both to our team and we are excited to see what they accomplish.”
