We had an another good turnout for the race. It was a little hotter than it’s been but we still had 12 bikes/sled in MC/Snow and another 6 in No Box.
Craig Jensen was using both sleds in both classes and Matt Spencer hot lapping in both. Rick Newport went the deepest in No Box, getting to the semi-finals.
Rick also got his trophy from the rain delayed 6-10 race when they raced the next week at the Nitro Jam. He took out 2011 IHRA World Champ Chris Hall so great job there.
Matt Spencer had the #1 qualifying spot with an .005, Mike Cragun and Matt Fredericks were right behind with .007’s. I ended up winning the race when Matt Spencer broke out by .002!
Speaking of Matt, he’s still got some openings (24 bike field) for next weeks race he is putting on. It’s geared for the Harley’s but he will let you race other (Japanese) bikes as long as they are STREET LEGAL. Harley’s can race what they want and will have trophies for low ET and top speed. This is a seperate deal from the normal Street Legal races, which will run Friday night. So it should be a fun night.
Just a reminder about photos, Chris Dake has the pics he’s taken on his website: http://crdnow.com/
See everyone Friday,
